Call 1800 Respect

GROUPS Register for the Parade

Rotary would love to see your group represented in our Walk for Respect parade, regardless of whether you are a

  • Not-for-Profit Organisation
  • Professional Support Service
  • Government Agency
  • Commercial business

The concept of our walk is very similar to the structure of Adelaide's ANZAC Day march.

First up - it is FREE to register your group

We will first ask you to supply basic contact details for someone in your organisation to liaise with Rotary.

We will then add your group's LOGO to this website under the Parade Groups section (please email your logo to marketing@StopCoerciveControl.au)

Also on this registration form is an option to invest separately in having Rotary work with you to design; print and construct the big banner we would really like your group to carry to 'market' yourself to the TV cameras and visiting public we hope will watch the parade pass.

You can see on this page, a 'mock-up' of a banner we are planning with ZONTA. For YOU, we will craft a message for your banner that clearly shows your LOGO and SLOGAN (or similar).

Our HOPE is to secure Sponsorship(s) that will enable Rotary to either reduce or remove any fees.

We understand many organisations working in this space will find it difficult to find spare funds to generate such a great banner. So, even if you do register today for free, we would like you to know that Rotary's ambition if sponsor(s) are secured, would be to help your organisation secure its banner and online marketing materials without paying.

Rotary want to help you kick goals and build your profile in the wider community. The key purpose of this parade.

What is important to us, is to try and make it affordable for everybody to be in the March. We'd prefer nobody is excluded! We need to unite and every single one of you is a critical piece in the puzzle of reducing domestic violence in our community.

Crowd Funding ideas

After you have < registered for free > another idea is to then rally a crowd of staff; clients; supporter who work with your organisation to have them < register to individually walk > in the Parade. Again, it is FREE for them to register to encourage as many as possible to walk behind your banner.

On their registration form, they will be asked to first choose a group they want to walk with (ie. yours) and then an option exists for them to donate to support your group.

Rotary will be tracking these registrations and donations. If for example, these people collectively donate enough money to cover the out-of-pocket costs of producing your marketing materials, Rotary will contact you and prepare your banners for you.

Another idea is to ask a businesses or organisation you work with to see if they are prepared to cover the $475 out-of-pocket costs to cover all of your Group's marketing collateral (banner; website etc). Again, Rotary can track corporate donations and will then work with you to get your banners moving along.

HOWEVER - first and foremost, we want to ensure your Group is at the parade, which is why the initial registration is free! Let's at least get you locked in to be there with everyone else.
