Recognise the Signs of Coercive Control

Coercive control is a deliberate pattern of behaviour committed by a person, against another person, which aims to take away the victim’s freedom and sense of self, through threats, exploitation, degradation, deprivation, isolation, regulation, intimidation and surveillance.

Perhaps when you look at these common signs below you may recognise someone in your family; a friend ... or at work ... who appear a victim.

If you're in a position to have a conversation with the person ... you could perhaps suggest they also look at this page.
They could also telephone 1800 RESPECT to talk to a counselor for a more personal conversation about their situation.
